We are building the operating system for Irish markets — helping people run, grow and discover them.
Ireland has hundreds of markets and thousands of people who trade at them. There is no shared place where the two find each other.
Organisers recruit vendors through Facebook posts and word of mouth, then manage the replies across four different inboxes. Vendors fill in the same details over and over, and miss deadlines they never saw. Visitors find out about a market the weekend after it happened.
MarketsIreland.ie is an attempt to fix all three at once — not by building the biggest database of listings, but by making the actual workflow easier.
A directory’s job finishes when it gives you an email address. We are interested in everything that happens afterwards.
Find markets by county, category and date.
See which markets are actively recruiting vendors.
Apply, track and manage applications in one place.
Organisers approve vendors and track stalls filled.
Ready-made graphics turn existing marketing into traffic.
Vendors build a reusable professional profile.
The platform supports every kind of market from day one. But launching by shouting about nine categories at once, from a standing start, would spread a community-building effort far too thin.
So the 2026 launch concentrates on Christmas markets, where the timing and existing demand already line up. Farmers markets follow, because they run year-round and solve the problem of a platform that goes quiet in January.
Large readable text, one obvious next action per screen, no hover-only interactions, and touch targets you can actually hit.
We do not verify insurance documents, and we say so. We do not publish invented user numbers. When a feature is planned rather than built, it is labelled planned.
Listings, vendor profiles, applications, approvals, dashboards, share graphics.
Pay a stall fee through the platform instead of by bank transfer.
Save markets and add deadlines to Google or Apple Calendar.
Suggest suitable vendors to organisers based on category and availability.
Factual status signals, not public reviews.
Small traders do not need a review score attached to their livelihood.
We are recruiting organisers directly for the 2026 season.
Free for vendors, free for organisers, always free for visitors.
